Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I at Flexential is a critical role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. This position requires a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The ideal candidate must demonstrate professionalism and technical expertise while interacting with customers and internal resources.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

  • Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of Facility and customer issues.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and conduct in performing data center duties.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and document them using the Flexential ticketing system.
  • Support 24/7 operations and perform remote hands work for customers.
  • Assist with physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the Data Center and surrounding areas.
  • Operate and manage the Badge Access Security System.
  • Collaborate with local management to maintain cabling and inventory levels.

Required Qualifications

  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
  • Self-starter with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in an IT support environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as Network +, Security +, CCNA, MCP, or MCSA are a plus.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including climbing ladders, working in various temperatures, and lifting heavy objects.

Hourly Pay Range

The hourly pay range for this position varies based on experience, location, and qualifications (estimated $19.33 - $22.67).
