Job Description
The University of Vermont Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Ambulatory Children's Specialty Center. As a Staff Nurse II, you will provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients, assess their health needs, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for pediatric patients.
- Work as an essential member of nursing and multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide patient education and prepare for continuing care during and after transitions.
- Possibly assume charge responsibilities based on operational needs.
Requirements
- Active RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Vermont.
- Preferably experience in pediatric hematology and oncology, inpatient, and outpatient care.
- CPHON certification preferred or attainable within 2 years.
Additional Information
- No on-call duty is required.
- External candidates with one year of experience may be eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of $10,000 (prorated for part-time roles).
