Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Diesel or Automotive Mechanic to join our team at First Student, the largest school transportation provider in North America. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing school buses to ensure safety and vehicle readiness. Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual DOT maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment issues including brakes, suspensions, and transmissions.
- Ensure accurate completion of work orders and provide assistance with mobile emergency services.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required; willingness to obtain CDL while employed.
- 1-5 years of automotive or diesel maintenance & repair experience or technical school education.
- Possess a mechanic's tool set and a willingness to participate in the ASE certification program.
- Subject to DOT drug testing and physical.
